This happens despite the fact that he's supposed to attend a wedding with his girlfriend, Misty (Meredith Hagner). Until the first scene, the viewers are unaware of the time loop until it is too late to stop it.

Adam Sandler

The long-awaited fourth Hotel Transylvania movie will finally be released on October 1, but will the cast still feature Adam Sandler? No, he won't. Sandler played Dracula in the first three films and now Brian Hull will step into the role. This movie is also accompanied by a short animated film, Goodnight Mr. Dracula. It's hard to imagine what the movie would be like without Sandler, but he's a true Uncut Gem.

Aside from starring in the latest film, Sandler is also voicing Dracula and Frankenstein in the upcoming Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. James was the voice of Frankenstein in the first three films, but has since switched roles with Sandler. It is unclear if Sandler will continue to play the role of Dracula, but his departure from the franchise has many fans disappointed.

Besides Sandler, Adam Sandler also brought his usual gang of friends to voice the movie's classic monsters. Steve Buscemi provides the sensitive werewolf and the articulate Frankenstein. Although Peter Whale is a talented director, he is not a fan of horror. He emphasized the movie's objectionable content in the first draft, including violence, the unwholesome implications of the Countess's relationship with her victims, and allusions to the homosexual relationship between David and John. This led to the delay of production. However, the movie has since been released on Hulu, and it's definitely worth watching.

While this film tries to rise above its pulp roots, it's ultimately not successful. It is leadenly paced, has unlikable characters, and doesn't fully commit to its story. Ultimately, it's just another vampire movie that attempts to be a little more original than its predecessor. If you're looking for something a little more interesting, try Bride of Frankenstein instead.
